Fat and pregnant

Sally

Early last year I made a huge life style change and decided at 414 pounds to have a gastric sleeve procedure. I've lost over a hundred pounds in les than a year and I work out about 5 times a week but I'm still fat. It's a process of acceptance and love for where I am and excitement about where my new life tools will take me.

I got the results of my blood test yesterday and I'm expecting our second. I'm so excited! However, last pregnancy I was only about 15 pounds above where I am now and every Dr appointment was a battle. Being fat is not, by itself, an indicator for high risk and I had no other indicators but I had to fight to not be labeled. I do not look forward to doing that all again. And yes, I switched practices at 32 weeks because the Dr would not stop ambushing me with "high risk specialists" when I came to my check-ups.
