Could this keep me from getting pregnant?

I smoke and drink while trying to get pregnant. Can that make it harder??

I had been TTC for 7 months. I stopped smoking last month and got my Bfp today.

I'm a smoker. Have been for 9 years now. I usually have a beer a week. And guess what, im pregnant! 5 weeks along. Lines are getting stronger on my tests :) so long as you're cutting back you're fine.

The hard part for me is the smoking. Anyone who isn't a smoker can't understand how hard it is to quit. Going from almost a pack a day down to 3-4 is a huge achievement. I'm working on quitting all together. But I've been told not to do it cold turkey as it can stress me out and can cause stress to the baby.

Can't even begin to tell you how many of my friends have party babies. Not saying it's right. But saying you can still get pregnant. Just make sure you test every month to make sure yu are or aren't pregnant.

I'm not really judging but if you were trying to get pregnant why would you be drinking ? You could be pregnant and not know it and if you'd continue drinking that's a lot of harm on your baby....

Yeah it definitely can. I don't smoke but my doc said no more than one drink per week while we're trying.

Personally, I'll have a drink if I'm on AF or know for sure I haven't o'd. After O I'm pretty cautious.

OH cut back, too. Weekends only for him for beer.

My partner quit and we both stopped sinking and went on a healthy baby diet and then few weeks later 6 weeks gone

Yes it can.   Being healthier makes it easier even certain rx drugs make it harder

Quitting does help, but I still smoke (cigarettes) and drink on occasion. But be sure you can quit after you conceive.
