Wife of an army man?

Question

First let me say I am so blessed that people in my country are willing to serve and defend it! 
I have a few questions for army wives, and I hope they don't come off as offensive I really am just wondering. 
What is it like? Especially when your man is gone? Are you stay at home? Is it possible to have a career? How often do you move?

It's hard. Lots of praying. Lots of lonely nights. Lots of sitting out. Missing anniversary's birthdays holidays snuggle time. Mine just came home for good in Feb and I still speed like hell to get home to him. I still lay in bed and don't let him get up. Even though it's over for us I sometimes catch myself looking at him thanking God he's in one piece and we are planning our wedding in June. We made it. He made it. Thank you Jesus!!

My husband isn't in the Army, but deployments can be hard but it isn't anything I'm not already used to. My dad was in the Navy for 20 years, so I was already accustomed to moving around, making new friends etc. The hardest part for me, was getting back into a regular routine without my husband. Other than that, everything just seemed to always fall into place. My husband has one more deployment before he's done with the military for good and I'm happy he'll be getting out.

I like to think of myself who is just a wife and my husband is in the army. It's just like any other wife who's husband has a job. And sometimes my husbands job has him away for long periods of time. I just stay busy, began crafts, have redecorated our home more times than I can count. We move about every 3 years. And I am currently a housewife. I love my man though so everything we have to go through is worth it.

I love it but it's hard, having a full time job and career actually helps the time go by! I would go nuts sitting at home everyday just thinking about it

My personal experience, it's hard. It's hard with moving constantly, not being able to finish, constantly finding a new job that's not promising to be a career. I've never been able to do much besides retail. I'm blessed now that I am able to take a fast paced Dental Assistant program so no matter where we end up next I don't have worry about working some odd job. My husband has been overseas twice, and it definitely changes things. It's hard when he comes home because although I'm happy I feel nervous and shy lol its almost like you have to learn eachother all over again. Alot can happen in the time their away between both people and it changes you. But all in all Love is still alive so we let Love Live! It's not easy but I knew it wasn't going to be as when I married him! We have no children yet so I just think how much harder it's going to be then! Lol but I am ready for any challenge!

It's always sad when he's gone, of course, but we make it work. With my career field, I can literally work anywhere, which is good. Where we are now, he's been here about two years. We might have to move next year, but we're both ready and excited to. He's never gone for too long, though so it's easier for us than other couples. But I knew what I was getting into when I married him. And his job takes care of our family so we deal with it. Either way, we love each other enough to make it work out.

My spouse is in a different branch of the military, but it's similar. I work full time and we own our house, so I do not travel with him. Last year he was away for 6 months, it's not fun. But we decided this is the best lifestyle for us, I am close to our family, and he always has a place to come home to. If he is within the U.S., I will fly to see him for long weekends. It does definitely impact your personal life, we had to delay our plans to TTC until he returned.

I've been married to my husband for almost a year now. It is difficult but he loves his job. We've moved a few times since being together. I have not finished college because of the moving. I don't really think college is worth the money and effort if I will not have a stable career. Currently he is deployed and I am pregnant with our first child. I am a stay at home wife. It's  hard but I wouldn't trade our life together for anything else.

My husband is in the army. As of right now I am a stay at home wife. We got married young so I have put my college on hold and hope to finish it. 
It's tough when he leaves and we have no contact. But it just makes the times you do have contact so much more special. 
I wouldn't change my life for the world. I love my husband and the life we live, but it's not a normal life.

Some women have careers. My husband and I decided homeschooling our kids was more important than a second income, so I stay home. Not gonna lie, being an army wife is not easy. We get criticism from all sides because there are a lot of women out there that can't handle it. They can't take the lonely nights, the demands on their time and worry. The rest of us just push through. I've been an army wife for over 6 years. Moved twice and about to move over seas. Away from everyone I've ever known. It takes strength, and lots of it. But it's worth it.
