How soon before labor did you lose your mucus plug?

I'm due in one week and still haven't lost my mucus plug. I keep thinking, i can go anytime! But... Don't you normally lose that first? A few weeks before labor? Maybe that's a dumb question! Just curious.

My mum only lost hers before labour in 1/3 of her pregnancies, that's what's keeping my hopes up because I haven't lost mine either yet!

I'm due in one week and have had few pieces of the plug a few weeks ago. I wouldn't say the whole thing tho and no bloody show. I'm dying to go soon just need to hold my baby!!!!

I never noticed losing it before with my other two. I was always keeping an eye out, but never saw it.

I read recently that sometimes it will come out slowly and just seems to be increased discharge. I didn't notice losing mine with my first baby.

I lost mine yesterday morning and am now admitted to the hospital in full blown labor. I thought I had been losing pieces of it with a lot of discharge in the past week, but once I saw it I knew exactly what it was.

My midwife told me she never knowingly lost hers with either of her kids. So it's not always something that happens prior to labor.
