Did you see a Perinatologist?

My doctor wasn't too much help at my first appt today. (I'm 13 wks, prior appt's were with his nurses, nurse practitioners). šŸ˜” Lots of textbook answers. No additional testing/advice than for a "normal healthy" pregnancy, which I def do not have. I believe every pregnancy is diff and should be analized more carefully (esp if you have several issues like me), so my next step is to see a Perinatologist (Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist). They look at high risk pregnancies and make out a specialized plan. Or that's what I'm led to believe so far anyway. Have any of you been in a similar situation? Fingers crossed I can do lots of proactive things and end up with a healthy full-term baby!
