Does anybody have the paraguard iud? What are your experiences with it?

I want to get it but I am very nervous to have something inserted into my uterus. I've never had kids and the non hormonal iud is my only option, besides condoms.

Had it since 2012 and love it. No problems for me. Definitely take some ibuprofen before your appointment.

Had Mirena. Loved it. Lighter, shorter cycles. Til it disappeared. Now I have a Mirena baby! Lol. Nothing is 100%.

I have had it twice. At first I cramped a lot. But it was easy bc. I didn't have to worry and I always had regular period.  Each time I had it removed after 3 years. Got pregnant on my second cycle

I definitely felt it and was very uncomfortable for me. That and the Mirena were my only options. Sex was uncomfortable for me. I got pregnant my 2nd cycle after removing it. I had it in for almost 3 years.
