When did you tell your family you were pregnant?

I am 8 weeks pregnant, and I can't wait for hubby and I to share the news with our families!! We are due October 19th, and we will try and wait until the first trimester is completed.

Told parents at 12 weeks and started breaking news on need to know basis to certain people at 20 weeks but to the rest not until 26 weeks -especially those we don't see often.

After having a devastating mc almost 2 years ago we wanted to be super cautious, many people disagreed but it was our choice...

We told our parents and siblings at 5 weeks and they are keeping it secret.  We wanted them to know in case we needed emotional support if something went wrong.

We told our immediate family at 9/10 weeks, it was Christmas :) told close friends at 12, work at 16, and the social media world at 20. It just kinda happened this way, besides waiting the 12 weeks, we didn't plan.

5-6 weeks for close family and friends, around 9 weeks for FB. Once you hear heart beat, the risk of miscarriage drops and stays the same at about 9 weeks.
