Can You Bleach Your Hair If You Breast Feed ?

I've been waiting to bleach my hair ever since I found out I was pregnant. I know some people say its okay to do while pregnant and I know girls that have done it and have had healthy normal babies but i'd rather not risk it and not to mention my husband will KILL ME if I do 😂 he said I can do it after I have the baby (i'm due in a month) but I was wondering if its okay to do it when breast feeding ? I want to wait but at the same time I feel like I won't have time to do it when the baby gets here

I'm a cosmetologist. It is safe. Lightener is more gentle today than it used to me. . .especially if your stylist uses ammonia free.

I think you should ask a doctor. I don't mean any offense to the cosmetologists, but just because you know how to apply a chemical, it doesn't mean you know the effects on a fetus or baby.

I've asked my doctor this exact question, she says it's perfectly safe! You're fine.

It's all fine I asked my doctor just make sure it's in a well vetelated room my hair dresser even put a small fan near me and it blows the fumes away so I'm not breathing as many in :)

Tell your husband that coming from a cosmetologist that as long as it's amonia free then it is safe. I'll have to ask about the breastfeeding though bc I'm not sure but I'm thinking it is safe. You could always call around and find out the salons should be able to answer your question. (Btw my cousin is the cosmetologist not me lol)
