Should we find out the sexes of our twins?

Okay. This might be a little long... After on and off infertility testing for 10 years, my husband and I finally scraped up the funds for IVF. Our first cycle worked! We're expecting twins. :) I have always wanted to be surprised by the sex of our children. My husband doesn't care either way. But our family and friends are driving us CRAZY with questions and comments about our decision. "How are we going to know what to buy?!?" Our babies will NOT CARE what they are wearing. Color preference has ZERO to do with what bits they have. I'm not a fluffy lacy girlie girl, and neither my husband or I care for gendered stuff. Our nursery is neutral (purples, greens, and cream) and we honestly don't care. But everyone's making such a big deal about it, and it's wearing us down. Should we find out so everyone can do/get the babies what they want? Or stick to our plan of hearing "it's a ___" on their birthday? Thanks for any polite/kind insight!

You could register for nutural colors diapers and instead of clothes ask for gift cards or you could throw a "shower me with clothes" after they are born as a way to show them off as well as get what you need

If YOU don't want to find out, then don't! Don't find out just because other people want to know! People are always going to be in your business, because as soon as they know the sexes, it's going to be "what are you naming them?" And they will pester you about that. Stay strong! And it really says something about people who don't know what to buy if they can't do blue or pink! Have some creativity, people!! You don't need to know a baby's genitals to buy them something useful! Good luck to you!!

they are YOUR babies, do what you want. Tell them to put money away somewhere and buy stuff when the babies are born or buy gift cards to use once they are here. You have waited 10 years for this moment don't ruin it by doing what others want, do what you want! Congrats!

My family is doing the same thing! I told them if it's too difficult to shop not knowing don't buy me anything! I get overwhelmed by too much stuff anyway, figure the first month of so the baby will live in sleepers and onsies anyway... So what does the gender matter... I'm planning to shop garage sales and second hand stores... Why do people get so caught up in the materialism anyway... Get me things that are useful... Like diapers! Lol

PINK is the reason why we are considering not finding out. If it's a girl, I don't want to be drowned in pink stuff. It would drive me crazy :-)

This is YOURS and YOUR HUSBANDS decision. Not anyone els. Do what makes you happy. You've waited and wanted this. Do it all your way. Other people should get that and know that. I'm a stranger and do lol. Do what you want and have no regrets. There will be many opportunities for people to buy things for the babies after they make their debut. Congratulations! Don't let anyone pressure you into doing something you don't want to do. Let them know your decision is final. My friend just had twins and they didn't find out the genders until they were born. They registered for neutral stuff and it worked out fine! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and 2 healthy babies!

I found out with my first but I'm not with #2. I just know it will be awesome to meet them and find out the gender on the same day
