Is it okay to use nail polish while pregnant?

I haven't used nail polish since I found out I was pregnant and my nails are really getting on my nerves. Is it safe to paint them while pregnant? Are there brands that are unsafe and some that are?

I'm a polish freak I love changing my nail colors at least once a week:) I had not problems doing it with my first son and not having any problems now. I wouldn't worry at all. But I agree make sure the area is well ventilated so you don't get nauseated or anything.

I read that nail polish, even going to a salon to have them done is all fine, as long as you're in a well ventilated area. I would ask your doctor just to be sure.

There's also the "3 free" and "5 free" nail polishes that don't have some of the nasty chemicals in them. I've been sticking to those :)
