Babies are sometimes prone to exema and the extra moisture in the air can help them not only breathe easier but have less dry skin. Even when my little guy isn't sick we use it every night because we are constantly lotioning him! There are some cheap ones out there but even if it's a good $40 or something, you use it for years and can even use it in your room if you're congested. :)

I thought I could do without it so I didn't get one at first, but the first time the baby is sick, you will NEED it!!
