She might not live close enough to wait till her contractions are 3-5 minutes apart and that is if she knows she is having contractions. Some woman don't experience extreme contractions. So telling someone that they will "know" when they are in labor is not true.

The beginning stages of labor felt like period cramps to me. You could be start it hun. Just time those cramps!!! Hopefully you are close enough to a hospital where you can wait till the cramps are 5 minutes apart. The back pain could also be back labor.

Labor differs from woman to woman and then from each individual pregnancy. My first pregnancy my water broke and I had no cramps or pain at all for almost 20 hours. My second I was in such agony hours before my water broke I was begging God to have mercy on me. If your concerned you should call your dr with your symptoms.

Labour didn't feel like period cramps to me it felt like cramp you get in your leg but in your back groin thighs all at once and you can't do anything else until it has passed except breathe and say ow lol, and that only took me to 4cm! also didn't have diarrhea but did have a show... Hope this helps
