1st time we will be 'examined'?

I've had my 31 week check up and know the inevitable is coming-but when??? When will anyone look at my cervix-I'd like to know!!! : / Argh, I know I won't care during labour etc but not really ready to get my bits out!!

They don't do it unless you have a stretch & sweep, which is offered at 40 weeks. If you want to, all vaginal exams can be refused, even during labour.

I don't know why I'm a bit freaked out-i don't mind my smear test! I will ask at my 34 week check as I guess no-one in our June group will be this many weeks yet-didn't think of that when I first post! X

I've already had two examinations at the hospital due to the bleeding I experienced earlier in my pregnancy. Getting quite used to them! I have no idea when it is routine to so this but am totally sure you can always say you'd rather not. I'm not sure it'd change the treatment you receive so I'm not sure what the point would be.

Hadn't really thought about this. Assume it won't be until much closer to the due date. I don't see my midwife again until 36 weeks (see my GP in between) so maybe then?
