1 soda?!

Can I have one can of soda?! I want one sooo bad! I've only taken a few sips here or there off my husband. Other than that strictly water, with maybe a root beer or sprite every now and then. I'm 12 weeks and so far everything's great, I just don't want to drink that "one" soda and something happen....lol.

Yes. You can. Current research doesn't have any direct correlation between caffeine and fetus development but they air on the side of caution. I'm not saying go drink a whole case... But one is okay lol

I totally feel you, lol. I have sodas and Starbucks coffees every now and then and my baby is perfectly healthy. ☺️ I'm about 22 weeks. In the beginning I was terrified of everything, but having a soda here or there will not hurt your baby!

I was told to keep the caffeine under 200 mg per day. A can of coke is under 100, so I've been indulging sometimes

recommend not to have more than 200mg of caffiene a day. Most cans of pop have about 30-40mg of caffiene, so unless you plan on drinking more than 4 cans of pop a day, it's okay to drink it. Some pop doesn't even contain caffeine. Like A&W Root Beer, Mug Root Beer, crush cream soda, orange crush, & ginger ale are all caffiene free pops

I've tried to stick to the no soda diet and sometimes I struggle with it. But my sister drank a Pepsi everyday with her son and he is a perfectly healthy little boy.

Yes. My doctor said 1 soda or 1 cup of coffee a day is fine. Not both, just one or the other. I have to drink diet soda though if I want one because of gestational diabetes. I usually don't drink soda though, I like my daily morning coffee

I buy the 8 oz cans of coke and have one every few days. That's much less than I drank before. On in between days I have Sprite or Gatorade when I start to burn out on water.

Yes go ahead one soda isn't going to hurt anything. I drink a few a week along with coffee every once in a while. It's just like indulging in a bunch of junk food that most women do, I on the other hand don't j eat super healthy but one thing I cannot give up is coffee here and there and a can of soda every once in a while. Me and a baby are as healthy as can be ☺️ 21w4d and so ready to meet baby girl!
