Is it safe to dye hair?

I'm 9 weeks 5 days. I have a hair appt tomorrow. She uses permanent dye on me. I've read up a little on it and it sounds a little iffy. I don't want to do anything that could hurt my little one. What do you think? Is it safe?

My doctor and multiple cosmetologists said it's perfectly fine. Hair dye isn't the same as it used to be. The smell might bother you but it is perfectly safe.

I'm a cosmetologist. It's safe but sometimes pregnancy hormones can affect how the color turns out. Sometimes it can go darker or not take as well as usual but your stylist can work with it. The only reason why I haven't colored my hair is it's been falling out and looks limp since I've been pregnant...I'm just giving I a break. Also, my doctor said as long as I'm not eating or snorting the haircolor, it's safe...lol

Your stylist might not color your hair if they know your pregnant. Mine stopped coloring mine when she found out even though my dr said it was ok in the 2nd trimester.

Yes it's supposedly safe but it's chemicals... You could do a DEMI permanent which is less chemicals..
