Did you get genetic testing when pregnant?

My doctor told me they want to schedule me this week for genetic testing and and when I researched it last night, I found out that I have a chance of miscarriage by doing this! My side of the family has a lot of health problems and that's the only reason I'd need to do genetic testing but I don't think I want to now knowing there's a chance I could lose my baby :( 
What did you guys do?

I didn't do it because no matter what the test results were, it wasn't going to change my pregnancy. I figured why spend the extra money?

I did the genetic free dna blood test its a simple arm draw nothing invasive

Genetic testing is just blood work, I don't know why that would risk a miscarriage. As for an amino unless there's a valid reason I would refuse it

There are several non invasive tests that can be done. They can find the baby's can in your blood and check for many different things.

It's your choice to do any genetic testing. When I went to my first OB appointment, one of the first things he asked was if we were interested in genetic testing. We quickly declined. If something came back positive, it would only cause stress and worry, but it wouldn't change our decision about having our baby. So, we're going into the rest of the pregnancy "blind" and we'll accept whatever happens when the baby comes. :)

I declined any testing besides blood testing and anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

I opted not to bc I don't have any genetic reason in my family and I know that even if the blood test came back positive I wouldn't do an amino. When I initially talked with my doc about it she suggested waiting till after the anatomy scan to make a decision. When my scan came back all normal is was easier to decided against testing.

I don't see how it could cause a miscarriage, however I was offered the genetic testing for the fourth time today and again declined. If you don't want to do it tell them no, ask for the paper to sign that you declined it and that will be the end of it. I don't want a needle in my stomach and I don't want to know if my baby may or may not have a disability. So many people are told their baby will have Trisomy 18 or downs or something else and they're babies are born perfectly normal. I'm not terminating my pregnancy no matter what so I declined the testing (just wish they hadn't asked me FOUR times), all it would do is stress me out my entire pregnancy because I feel like I would be more cautious and nervous about my pregnancy to protect my baby. I don't see any reason at all to get genetic testing done I don't think it should even exist. It's not even close to accurate most the time and all it does is worry people and some even take their baby's life at the thought that something is "wrong" with them. When most of the time their baby would have been born "normal" anyway because like I said it's nowhere near 100% accurate. Many women who get that test done are told their baby will have some sort of abnormality and their baby's don't. It's not worth it there's literally no reason to get the testing done IMO. Even if my baby is going to end up dying in the womb, I don't care, even if my baby won't last long outside of the womb, I don't care. I want and love my baby.

I only did non-invasive testing. Bloodwork. It's relatively new, but I don't think any risk is worth it when I will love my baby no matter what.
