Telling your kids you're pregnant
So, even though it's early days, we couldn't wait and told the kids last night. Of course we told them there are no guarantees ever and they understand.
My oldest (10) is already wanting to help pick out names. But my baby (6) is not excited. While the words 'mom's pregnant' made him happy, when he realized that meant a baby brother or sister he cried. I reassured him that he would still be my snuggle bug but he stills seems very put off by the idea of a baby.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you handle it? How do you convince your current baby that a new baby won't mean they are no longer loved? And, if you've gotten that far, how did it turn out after the birth?
