Does being called "hun" bother you?

Am I th only person who hates being called HUN? I don't mind if my hubby or mom or grandmother call me it, but I feel like it's very condescending to call someone hun! Who else is with me?

I'm from the south and have heard it my entire life and I call pretty much everybody hun or darlin or some other name of the sorts. I'm not bothered by it and I don't mean to offend anyone else by calling them that. It just comes naturally for me to say, but I have tried cutting back on it.

I dont like being called Ma'am because it makes me feel old. I would rather be called hun or Miss.

Only bothers me if it's from someone much younger than me. Not really sure why.

I don't mind Hun; my SO calls me that all the time. However, I HATE when people call me sweetie. That's the most condescending thing you could call someone, in my opinion.

I don't want ANYONE calling me hun, unless it's someone special to me. It's short for honey, and I hate it when strangers call me by pet names. I live in the south, but few up in the north.  Maybe that's the difference. People up north don't do that. It's too personal.

My friend got stopped one time, he called the lady hun and he got locked up😂😂
