Since its been so long I would say go for it or maybe just a diaper shower if you still have most of the stuff from a previous baby.. It's only been 4 years since my last pregnancy but I am having a shower for this one because after 4 boys this one is a girl and this is the first one in the family.. 9 grandkids and all boys. Just a few more weeks and I'm gonna stir things up a bit...lol

In my family you get a shower for the first baby and that's it. Everyone is different though

I didn't think I should get a baby shower for this baby since its #4 but it's my SO first and his mom and sister want one so I said ok.

I think it's fine if it's your first for that sex (your first son/daughter) but after that, you really shouldn't have a baby shower. To a gender reveal party, but i personally wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about someone having a baby shower on their 4th child. That's just my opinion...if you want one and you have someone who is willing to host, go for it.
