Watching someone slowly waste away from an illness, be in pain daily that medication can't help, and lose all of their dignity is the worst thing you can ever see. If an individual has a terminal illness then they should get that choice. We are given that choice for our pets so that they don't suffer a long drawn out death, and we as people should have that right.

My brother would not have chosen to wait for months in a painful, drugged haze to finally have a stroke and to lie, raggedly gasping for breath, crying and moaning in unimaginable pain, for sixteen hours. He was twenty-three. He deserved a better, quieter death if he wanted it.

I think everyone has the right to end their own life in whatever way they want. If they're I'll and don't want to on living (if things are terminal anyway) then they should get help.

I watched my grandma wither away as she was eaten up by cancer. She went from a strong proud woman to someone who couldn't even wipe her own ass. No one should suffer like that.. People deserve to die with dignity. My grandmother wasn't given that option.

While I understand the argument for it.  It makes me uncomfortable whenever we have goverment sanctioned death.  It is to permanent.  I would prefer better pain medication, I am for legalizing marijuana for medicinal use, regulate it like they do morphine.  And do research for better.

After watching my mother pass away with no idea who I was & the fact that she slept for weeks before her passing I agree if the person wants tu die on his/her own terms let them.  My mother didn't want to die the way she did, she wanted me tu help her but because I had a 1 year old she couldn't risk letting me get in trouble so she decided against it. 
I feel for the people who cannot go the way they wish when they know how horrible their deaths may be.
