When you don't spell age with two E's. But seriously age is just a number. I was married at 19 and my marriage is more successful than our 30 year old friends who got married at the same time. It's all about maturity of the individual and the relationship.

DH and I got married at 20 and 22.  Only one other couple we know who got married around the same time is still married, though, so I guess it was too young for them maybe.

I think a lot depends on maturity, and some depends on how willing you are to stick with it.  The older you are, the more willing you are to figure things out and find what works I think.

25-27 was my choice....my first marriage was at 19!!!! We barely lasted 10 years and 5 of it was misery. I'm going on 8 yrs with my SO now and I'm 41, he's 35. If you can wait until 30 though......Damn, shit is hard.
