30 weeks and taking xRays!

I'm 30 weeks 6 days, and up to now at work I've been taking xRays with a lead apron and this week I've gotten tired of using it my doctors a couple weeks ago told me she would give me a note so I don't have to but my work is so busy and we are short staffed that if I did that we would be behind all the time! I just want to know if there is dangers for my baby is he safe or should I keep wearing the lead apron. I don't stand behind a wall when I don't wear it.
