I feel like lots of people want to buy cute outfits instead of some of the things you actually need.

I never quite get people who don't shop a registry...the person is basically telling you exactly what they want?! We are doing a diaper raffle at my shower so hopefully if they didn't shop my registry, I'll at least get some diapers!

I spent soooo much time on my registry. Had a huge shower. 3 people got gifts off of my registry. I got so much clothing I was overwhelmed. Way too much. This next time I think I'm going to just have everyone bring diapers!

My immediate family bought us what we really needed... Like a car seat etc... Friends bought is cute stuff like clothing so I guess it just really depends. I wouldn't 100% depend on getting all of the necessities for your shower.
