When did the dr start checking you at appts?

Wondering when the dr starts checking to see if your dilated and how far you were the first time? Also if it was before 36 weeks please comment how far along

I was having contractions, so I've been checked every week since 34.

Started having contractions and changing uterus at week 29-30...now I'm on bed rest until I deliver.
