Upset stomach and gassiness?

Anyone know if it is part of being postpartum to have upset stomach and a lot of gas? It can get pretty painful. If anyone else is dealing/dealt with this, how long does it last and what can a person do to help with symptoms?

I was really gassy a couple days after delivery. It was only for 1 night. I think it is normal because yor digestive system has to kick start again.
