Vitex and PCOS, anyone?

Question

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 18. My husband and I have been TTC for 10 months now (I'm 26).

I have NEVER had normal periods. Not since I got my first at age 14.

In the past 10 months, I have gotten AF 3 times. I am currently taking the following:
Metformin
Prenatals
Vitamin D
Omega 3-6-9
Pregnitude

I have to say, I LOVE pregnitude. All of my periods have come since I started it and it has helped to level out some of my symptoms. But my periods are still months apart. I have been reading LOADS about Vitex online and a local nutritionist recommended it. So I picked some up. They suggested the concentrated stuff to ensure the correct dosage. I started it Thursday. 
400mg Thursday before bed
800mg Friday (400 morning/400 evening)

I woke up this morning and AF has arrived!!

Is it too soon to have this effect and just a coincidence?

Please, anyone have success with Vitex?

Vitex can be helpful, only if you have low progesterone. If your progesterone levels are normal on their own vitex can make matters worse and mess up all of your hormones even more.

So I'd like to add an update. So far, I am on day 4 of AF and still going strong. Probably a medium-heavy flow. The strongest I've had in at least 2 years. I'm hoping that this means the Vitex is doing as it is meant to... Helping to get me regular.

Additionally, my acne has lessened. No new pimples in a few days and way less facial hair growth.

I am optimistic, but this is still very new. 
I was using OPKs for awhile, but without a period, I was just guessing and honestly... Was so spotty with it after awhile. I just couldn't wrap my mind around doing it daily without any sense of what CD I was on.

I'm hoping now I can kick it off and start to chart appropriately.

Praying for a postive HPT before October (our 3rd anniversary!)

Also pregnitude is a waste of money, it doesn't have the best doses for pcos. It is inositol and folic acid. You can buy each separately online a lot cheaper and get the proper dose. Best is 6grams inositol powder(I get from swan sons vitamins online) and 800mcg folic acid. I started taking both in February and have had 2 periods already! About 35 days apart, completely unheard of for me! Good luck!!
