My my husbands friends occasionally come over for a visit, many times spending the night. Well, we live with my dad [I help take care of him, I'm 25 and he's 67] and technically it's still his house and we have paper thin walls. That being said, husband and friends like to sit in the livingroom watching fairly loud tv shows or games. My dad still works weekends and has to get up at 4am to make it to work. I tell them "hey, I can hear the tv thro the shower" [so I knew you could hear it in dads room directly across the hall] "turn it down some? I don't mean to bitch but -"

"Well you're being one" is heard from my husband in a low snark tone. His friends are completely quite. I guess they either agree with him or are uncomfortable.

I'm SO SICK of being viewed as a bitch because I enforce what should be common sense! Most of his friends don't come back after a few visits because of it. "It" being I'm a snoody bitch, so I hear, not that they dislike having to chill out in someone elses house. What is keeping my dad, whos 3x these guys ages and bigger than all of them, from just openin that door and telling them to gtfo? ME! He hears ME trying to get it under control! He humors ME, TRYING. I'm glad you like hanging out, but you're lucky he's a nice guy!! I'm not a bitch, you're a bunch of dicks!
