My best friend has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital on an involuntary 72 hour hold. Due to family problems, I'm currently listed as his next of kin. We're both twenty one, and his parents are completely uninvolved. Does anyone know what my responsibilities are or what being next of kin entails? What, if any, are the hospital's responsibilities to me?
