Is this normal ? First period after mc

I miscarried in March and now 6 weeks later I have started my period. The first two days was lighter than normal. Today I have had heavy bleeding to the point that I am changing my tampon every 2-3 hours. Should I call my doctor to be sure this is normal ?

My first period after was very heavy. I was at the doctor for a follow up and she said it was normal. I also had bad cramps. By my third period I am back to normal now. Hugs and sorry for your loss. It will all get better

This is how it was for me too. My first period after my miscarriage was heavy and really painful. I'd finish showering and as I would dry off, the blood would run down my legs. It was awful. My periods returned to normal the second month though. I'm so sorry for your loss, my friend.
