Anyone take hypnobirthing classes?

I want to do hypnobirthing but money is tight so I was wondering if the classes are worth it or if reading up and practicing at home would be enough.

I really liked Katherine Graves' book and audio. You can buy a digital copy relatively cheaply. She also has videos online. My husband and i took a birthing class for free at our hospital, you should check to see if yours has anything like that. They educated us about natural labor as well as all of the medical interventions. My understanding from Katherine graves is that the techniques take practice at home so while I think you'd enjoy a class the book and audio should really help!

Home study is enough. I bought tracks from Amazon and listened to them daily starting at 25 weeks. I had a successful natural birth.

I took the class and found it helpful. It also gave us a chance to tour the birth wing of the hospital, have some other questions answered (we skipped the regular birth class - I had an OB rotation in med school and my husband is a paramedic who has delivered a few kids, so we didn't think we needed the regular class).

I'm finding the hard part is doing the practice. It's time consuming, and between working and commuting and needing more sleep and moving more slowly, it's hard to set aside 45 minutes a day.

Definitely definitly definitly worth it all my anxieties and fears were put to rest and I am so excited for my north. Being 11 days over due now here is a very big chance I will be ensured which I hadn't planned and in any other situation would have me cloning the walls but I understand worrying won't change the out come and it doesn't mean my birth will not be a positive experience - I truly Believe without my hypnobirthing classes I would not feel this way x

My cousin read a really great book about it, as well as listened to a cd(I think). She got those off of amazon, and said they weren't too bad at all :)
