HISTEROSALPINGOGRAM (sp?)

Question

Tomorrow morning I'm getting an HSG xray of my ovaries & uterus. I'm VERY nervous. I've heard it is painful, and even more painful if a tube is blocked. I also heard you leak the dye out and sometimes even bleed. I'm supposed to go to work after the procedure but I'm not certain I will be up to it. Please tell me your experience with an HSG test!!

I have to have mine done but due to scheduling conflicts this month I have to wait another month. Got my period yesterday and I am going on vacation on Friday so I miss my window. do you get the results right away? I'm so nervous about what they are going to find. All of my other testing as well as my husband's has come back normal. Ahh so frustrating!!

Had mine done this am. To me it was very painful. But over super fast. I took two Advil a hour before I went. Just remember it goes super quickly and then your done. And you get results right then and there!

I had just a bit of discomfort and no bleeding nor spotting after. I did have a bit of bloating and pressure feeling a couple days after, but nothing to bad. Good luck!

Just had one a few weeks ago, it was honestly no more painful than a regular papsmear, not bad at all! And only verrrry light spotting for a few mins afterwards

I only spotted slightly afterward. It wasn't nearly as awful as most people told me it would be but it wasn't exactly pleasant. It was over fairly quickly. I kept waiting for it to get bad and it never did. Maybe it's just me but I had a crampy feeling at most.
