Do you look down on moms who don't breastfeed?

My reason is the type of job I have, it's not possible or convenient, once I'm back at work.

Just because a woman chooses not to breastfeed doesn't make her less of a mom. It's personal choice and preference.Some women can't at that for medical reasons.Dont feel like your being looked down upon because you have personal reasons why you can't breastfeed!It's not going to stop you from/or being a great mom!Dont let anyone make you feel any different.Personally if someone you know does feel that way they have issues of their own they have to deal with.Stay away from all that ignorance and negativity!! You do what you got to do for you and your family.

Just my personal opinion. I think every mom should TRY if medically possible just because the benefits are so great for mom and baby. I don't look down on moms that choose not to nurse, but I still don't really understand when their reasoning is along the lines of "these are hubby's boobs!" or "they just sleep so much better when on formula".

Breastfeeding is hard, and it isn't for everyone. If you're child is healthy and thriving, that's all that matters.

You need to do what's best for you and your situation. The happier and less stressed you are the same will be for your baby. Don't put too much pressure on yourself...there will be enough to worry about. It's a shame all of us mamas can't be 100% supportive of each other.

I have friends who had such a hard time breastfeeding that they had to formula feed for the sake of their child. I also have some friends who stopped breastfeeding after only a few months. I also have some that plan to breastfeed longer than a year. All of their children are happy and healthy. Everyone is different and it's really none of my business how they raise their child.

I think every mom should Atleast give it a shot! With my first I just couldn't handle it I had issue after issue. But with my 2nd I was determined and had a completely different experience and loved nursing! I am really looking forward to breastfeeding this baby, hopefully I will have the same experience as my last child. It is not for everyone or every baby. And it's very tough! Every experience is different for everyone.

Breastfed my 3rd, but not my first two. I've been on both sides of the spectrum. Went back to finish nursing school when #3 was 4 weeks old. Super tough to breastfeed, go to school, and pump every two hours, but I am so glad I stuck it out. It was nice to have that special bonding time together, especially during that crazy time. Thankful he switched from breast to bottle easily. It's not always convenient, but very worth it! I recommend at least giving it a try...but you also have to do what's best for you and your baby. Good luck!

My supply never really came in. We had to supplement from the beginning. And when I went back to work, it stopped completely. Sometimes it's just not in the cards.

Can't BF moms pump at work?! Can't there be both? I'm doing breast feeding and breast milk through bottle feeding.
