Trust your instincts and have faith in God
My hubby and I started trying to conceive #2 in January after celebrating our 5 year anniversary. After three months with no success, I decided to buy an ovulation prediction kit (opk). My period started on April 14th and lasted for 5 days which was typical for me. On CD 10, I tested to see if I was ovulating and I got a smiley face. I continued this every day and kept getting a smiley face. After doing some research, I decided to take a pregnancy test since a continuous positive opk could mean I was pregnant. Science/research told me that I should ovulate around day 14 of my cycle so I wasn't expecting what happened next. I received a positive pregnancy test (BFP)! I guess I ovulated right after my period! After getting my BFP, I reflected back on how I had been feeling and those early signs were there: fatigue, heightened sense of smell, and sore breasts. of course, I should have trusted those instincts and that God gives us tools to use if we only use them!
I had two miscarriages before my son was born so this time around I continue to take pregnancy tests especially the clear blue digital week predictor to see that my week count increases as this is my only method of seeing if my hcg levels are going up. My doctor's office didn't schedule until 8 weeks and I'm currently 3 weeks so I didn't even call yet. I'm so excited for this journey! My EDD is between January 14-19th. Anyone want to be bump buddies?
