Cramping and Bleeding After Prenatal Pap

Hello,

I had my first prenatal exam yesterday and got to see the gestational sac (building a home for baby!) I have another appointment in 2 weeks to check the heart beat (ahhh!).

My question for everyone is: During the exam, my OB took a cervical culture (pap smear) because of my previous abnormal paps in my early 20s. I notice later that night some light pinkish bleeding which I was told to expect. Today, however, the bleeding has increased and is accompanied by light cramping below my lower abdomen. I called my OB and she said it was to be expected, but this is my first baby and we're so very excited. I want to know if anyone else has had this experience and how it ended for you?
