Any truth in the heartburn/hair outcome?

So I've heard the old wives tale that if you have bad heartburn with your pregnancy your baby will have some luscious locks, can any of you vouch for that lady's? I've had terrible heartburn this whole pregnancy, but my mom side of the family still swears she's going to be bald. (they all were)

I had bad heartburn with my son and he had a decent amount of hair...this time I am pregnant with a little girl and have had no heartburn so I'm hoping she isn't bald lol. Below is my son right after he was born

I had terrible heartburn with my first, and she had a decent amount of hair. This is the only decent pic I could find from the newborn stage on my phone. The second was her first birthday to show you that the hair stayed too!

I did not have heartburn with my first and he was born with a head full of hair. Everyone would comment about how much hair he had. My daughter I had a little bit of heartburn and she also was born with a head full of hair. When I mean a head full of hair I don't mean thin baby hair and you can still see scalp coming through, I mean the scalp is covered in hair that is thick for baby.

From what I understand and this isn't meant to offend anyone it depends on your ethnicity. I am Hispanic and so is my husband and the majority of Hispanic babies are born with hair. My cousins and best friend are Hispanic but married Anglos and their babies did not come out with a lot of hair or came out bald. The babies did not get a full head of hair until they were older around 2-3 years.  I've also heard it depends on genetics.
