Dog alone overnight

We have an epileptic boxer/bulldog mix who has behavior issues towards other animals and occasionally mild anxiety towards strangers. We have a fenced in backyard and moved to this house April 1st. I think it is NOT okay to leave our dog while we go away for a long weekend with only a dog sitter coming twice a day (for 1 walk and 2 feedings).(The dog cannot access the backyard while we are gone, there is no doggie door.) I am not comfortable with the dog sleeping alone unattended overnight. My husband thinks it is ok. I think it is NOT OK. and I think we need to hire a housesitter/dog sitter, someone who will sleep overnight in the hone. We totally disagree on this subject. What do you think?
