Dying your hair pros and cons???

What have you guys found out about coloring your hair?

I'm a hairdresser so I get asked that a lot! It's perfectly safe but the hormones deposited in your hair can sometimes make the dye take differently than it normally would. Most people don't have a problem but I have seen blondes come out more yellow, colours go darker and sometimes they don't cover grey as effectively.

If you must dye, consider highlights not full color so the dye doesn't touch your scalp. I'd also wait until the second trimester.

If the dye gets into your skin keep in mind that can be dangerous for the baby in the first trimester

It's perfectly safe. Just stay in a well ventilated area.
