Whats the best birth control?

Which one has the least side effects and which one makes you gain weight and which one would help you loose weight? How often do you have to get the shot? 3 yrs or 5yrs is the implant effective?

Shot you get every 3 months. implant lasts 3 years. I've done the shot, pill, spermicide, condoms, pull out, nuvaring. I'm currently doing the fertility awareness method no side effects or weight gain.

I'm currently taking Ortho Micronor, which is the mini pill. I haven't experienced any weight gain or any current problems with acne. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding my 5 month old daughter and it hasn't affected my milk supply. The only downside is remembering to take it the same time every day. Finally decided to just set an alarm on my phone lol
