To every mommy to be

BG
I just want to tell everyone how important it is to pay attention to your baby and their activity pattern. If you feel like something is wrong, go get checked!
On Saturday when I woke up my baby girl wasn't as active as she usually is, but after I did get her to move a little bit. We went to our nieces birthday party and my little girl would kick every now and then but still just not her normal movements (usually she is SO SO SO active). I then went to a movie with my friend and I noticed towards the end that I hadn't felt her move in a while. When I got home I got some juice and an ice water and went and laid down on my side... Nothing. So then I went and took a shower (that usually wakes her up)..... Nothing. So then I got the Doppler out and I had a hard time finding her but finally found her at 120 (she is usually around 135-145). My hubby and I both decided it was time to go in and get checked out. When I got to the hospital they found her heartbeat but it was kinda low. They tried everything to get her moving (juice, Popsicles, a buz machine, changing positions, and an ultrasound)..... Nothing even made her budge. So they decided to admit me and try some more stuff. They gave me some sugar through my iv and still nothing. Her heart rate was in the high 120s but she wasn't having much variability like they would like. At about 5 am a dr came in and said he would like to do one more ultrasound and if it was the same as before he would like to deliver her because he was really concerned with her getting worse and being in distress. By 7:05 he came back in and said there was no change and he thought it was best to deliver her via emergency c-section. My baby girl was born at 34 weeks 5 days on 5/10/15 at 8:20 am. When I heard her cry it was the best sound in the entire world! She has been in the nicu but hasn't needed oxygen, she is doing amazing with feedings and just needs some light therapy for jaundice.
All my doctors and nurses have all said that I was so good for trusting my gut and coming in when I noticed the change in activity because I could have possibly lost her. So please please please pay attention to your baby's activity and if you feel something is not right go get checked out. I would never want anyone to go through anything like that. I hope everyone has a great pregnancy and have very healthy babies!
