New to the group!
Hi! My name is Brycee. I just had my daughter, Paislee, at 34 weeks 4 days. I went to labor and delivery Saturday night because my little girl had stopped moving. They found a stable heart rate but after tons of attempts (juice, Popsicles, a buzz machine, changing positions, and an ultrasound) they could not get my girl to move. They decided to admit me to monitor me some more and try some sugar through and iv. I was having some contractions but not much. Still nothing was working. On her ultrasound on Saturday night she only scored 4 out of 8 (you get 2 for movement, 2 for practice breathing, 2 for fluid, and 2 for tone.... I only got points for fluid and tone). The did another ultrasound at about 5 am Sunday morning and I scored the same. She was not having any variation in her heart rate either. The doctor decided that we should do an emergency c-section. My little girl came into this world at 8:20 am on 5/10/15, at 5 lbs 5 oz, 18 inches long and was crying! She was doing so well they actually let my hubby hold her to my face for a good 5 mins before taking her to the nicu. She is still in the nicu but never needed any help breathing and only had a feeding tube for a few days. She will have to stay a bit longer because she needs light treatments for jaundice but I am so thankful that she is doing great!
Just wanted to introduce ourselves!
