Is it okay to help plan ur baby shower?

Question

I am a planner.. I like things to match and look nice.. my mom and sister are last minute and I feel they would just throw something together quick.
We are having a little girl.. theme is pink , white and grey with elephants.. I'm all into making everything match.. invites, to counting peanuts in a jar to win a prize, to the matching cake.  I jist feel like they wouldn't get involved much.. I want it to be perfect. I would of course help pay.. do you all think it's okay to help?

I vote YES!!!! My oldest sister planned mine for my son & she wouldn't let me involved AT ALL! I couldn't know the games, I had no choice in who was invited, or even the theme! My babyshower was horrible. I'm having my second child & I plan on doing another baby shower because it's been 5 years since having my last & this one is a girl...my friend is planning it this time & I AM helping plan!!!

I don't see anything wrong with it planning parties isn't really my thing though so I kinda want someone else to do it lol

Yes! Perfectly ok! I planned my first baby shower alone. I had a vision of how I wanted it to be and it was perfect! I wasn't stressed at all about it and my friends thought I was crazy. But they said it was the best baby shower they had been too. I did a co-ed one and it was more geared to my friends having a good time. I figured if they were gonna spend money to buy me and my little girl gifts I wanted to make sure they had the best time ever 😊 a few weeks later I had a family baby shower, I let my sister take care of all that lol

I'm planning mine originally my mil and mom said they wanted to host but my husband and I decided if they wanted to pitch in with anything then just to go off the registry not to mention we make more then are parents and  don't feel they should have to put money down on things!! Plus I'm a planner as well and like having things my way sounds horrible but it's my thing

I think if they want your help then great but don't take over becuz you are overly obsessed with everything matching and being perfect. Just be happy and grateful they are throwing you a party. And who knows they may surprise you and do a really great job. Just offer help and if they say no they got it then relax and let them give you a nice shower. :) I don't mean It to come off rude. So don't take it wrong! My best friend is throwing my shower. And I offered over and over again to help and she's declined my help a lot. I of course got to pick the theme and date but that's about it lol :) enjoy your party im sure it will turn out great!
