High post dinner numbers.
So my OBs upped my glyburide from just 2.5mg in the morning to 2.5mg both in the am and before bed. Since my fasting number were too low they changed my dosage to 2.5mg 1hr before breakfast and 1.25mg at 10pm.
Now my problem is that they want me to have 45-60 carbs at dinner and if I have anything over 30 my numbers 2 hrs after I eat are 130-160. I am very conscious about what I eat...so much so that I weigh out or measure out almost everything.
Tonight I had homemade (bread machine) 100% whole wheat bread. Very thin slices...half the thickness of store bought bread. I had ham, cheese, and mustard with the 2 slices additional I had a whole pickle and a cheese stick. I did have an extra slice of bread, smaller than the other 2 pieces with a little butter. From my calculations I had 30 net carbs, 20-30g protein, and 10g fat. And 2 hrs later I was at 149...seriously aggravating.
Any suggestions other than red raspberry tea?
