Leaving baby with family for the first time?

How old was your LO when you left them alone with family for the first time? Mine is two weeks old and I feel like I'm losing my sanity. Me and my fiancé want a date night but I'm worried about leaving my baby with family for the first time. Granted it would only be a few hours, but I'm a FTM so I'm just being cautious.

We left our baby with my parents at our house when he was 8 days old. Hubby & I went to lunch and to the store. We were only gone 2 hours. I needed out of the house and didn't want to take baby in public. He slept the whole time we were gone.

We left out little guy with my mother in law when he was 4 weeks. We went out to a movie for a few hours, surprisingly I was okay! I think we just needed some us time. We are leaving him at my mums this weekend for a couple of hours too. 😄

5 weeks. We're going to see the avengers this weekend while we have an aunt watch her. I think you just gotta have someone you really trust otherwise you won't enjoy yourself and worry the whole time.

I left my little guy with my parents at around 3 weeks. We had a date night and it was great! It was nice to have the time together, and my baby was just fine.

I didn't plan on leaving my son for a while but my husband's parents wanted to watch their grandson. I cried & cried cuz I didn't want to do it but I did. We were only out for a couple of hours but it was so hard! And we didn't even go out for a date night. We just went baby shopping & grocery shopping. My son was 2 1/2 weeks old.

My little man in 11 weeks old today and I haven't left him yet. Apart from half an hour with my partner when I popped to shops, and 10mins with my mother when I drive to shops down the road. 
It's not that I'm over protective necessarily, it's that I'm breastfeeding (I know I can pump, and I have to allow my partner to feed once or twice) and I haven't been in a situation yet where I've needed to leave him with anyone else so far. Plus he's an "easy" baby, so my partner and I can still have "date nights" as he pretty much sleeps if we're out for tea! But soon we'll definitely leave him with our parents so we can have proper one on one time and go to movies or something. But haven't felt the need to yet :-)

I left my daughter with my husband for about an hour to get my nails done at 6 weeks, and I just left her with my parents and sister for about 2.5 hours this weekend at 9 weeks. It was my 30th birthday so my husband and I went out to dinner. Like others have said, it's not that I'm overprotective - it's just complicated because I'm breastfeeding and she's not yet on a regular daytime feeding schedule.

I really, really recommend getting out for a date - I've felt so much more connected to my husband since then ❤️

When LO was 2-3 weeks old I went out to run errands for an hour or so but in same small town we live in and my mom watched her. That was a little stressful because I'd not left her before. Then when she was 4 wks old I went to next town over (Half hour away) and did errands for 3 hours or so. That was waaaaaay hard. I was freaking out the whole time. Funny tho, my mom raised 8 kids so she probably knew what she was doing when watching LO. Haha. Today went to dentist. Baby steps! Haven't had a date night yet. LO is not quite 6wks old.

I left lo yesterday for about an hour. She is 5 weeks old. I went to pick upy preschooler from daycare and took him to the bookstore. I felt so guilty but the break was also nice.
