Good remedies for Plantars fascist?

Runners heel is the worst! Going on 2yrs with it and need a better remedy other than icing it.

I have it and my dad does too. There are some stretches you can do with a tennis ball that hurt at first but help dramatically. My dad was playing tennis one day and snapped the tendon and he went to the doctor and he said that it's not a bad thing with plantars and don't worry about fixing it. So the next week he went out again and played hard till he snapped the other and he doesn't have issues anymore. I don't recommend that, but it worked for him.

I had surgery. They forget to tell you that scar tissue is painful too. I wear plastic heel cups from the foot doctor. The theory is they hold your heel together and you walk on the fat squishy part of your heel. I wear them every day and do like them for sure. They are not miracle for sure but I honk they help. Also cortisone shots in the heel area work perfect. He did say one day they won't work anymore and that's when I had to get the surgery done.

My first year of running I ended up with it... the minute I stopped limping and babying it I started to feel better... stretch, stretch, stretch... I did lots of heel drops and lifts on my stairs ... I also cross my feet and bend over to stretch my legs completely... I learned that stretching is very important when exercising regularly... the trick is loosening those calf muscles through your ankles
