Have him go without an orgasm for at least 72 hours before ttc and his sperm will be at its best.  3-5 days of abstinence is what they make men go through for donating sperm.  Less and there isn't enough quantity.  More and there isn't enough mobility.

Yes, the more time he ejaculates the more sperm is inside of you. However, quantity and quality play a factor. When ttc it's not always the best to have sex everyday because the sperm still needs time to mature! So, although you're getting enough sperm it may not be the best quality sperm you could be getting if taking a dsy off to rest!
