The stresses of ttc and irregular periods.

I have always had irregular periods. We started ttc in January still no BFP. Went to the doctor to get my blood tested. Does anyone know what they are looking for specifically? The day I get my results my bf will be getting his blood drawn to check it as well. I'm nervous that I will be getting bad news. My bf works for the refineries and had a chemical burn down there and that worries me as well. I'm trying to push him into getting his speech tested as well.
