As another passenger, what would be your reaction?

Report the behavior to the airline company.  That is totally uncalled for. The least they could've done if they were actually trying to be safe is open the can in front of you and give you a glass of ice and pour it. There are many people in this world that are raised to be this way... racists, distriminating, nasty people. It's shameful. I'm very sorry.

It's not discrimination actually. This is standard procedure for all flights. Unless you are in first class the flight attendant pours you a small drink from the can into a plastic cup. Most flights aren't very long, they don't give you the whole can so you will finish your drink before landing. The only individuals who receive a full beverage are the ones who pay for non-complimentary items such as beer. The flight attendant was not discriminating but the other passenger was. He should have been removed from the flight.

clearly this woman was discriminating. It may be standard procedure , but she was obviously trying to discriminate this woman. & as another passenger I would stand up for her completely . I would be her friend & comfort her & I would give that flight attendant a mouth full of words .

It's hard to be a muslim nowadays but it has been harder for our prophet Muhammad (saw).... Keep in mind all the humiliation that he has suffered for the cause of islam and you will feel stronger... It is said in a hadith that a time will come when the truthful will be considered as liars and liars will be considered truthful... It's one of the qiyamat signs...please be strong... Whatever harm u have undergone because u r a muslim will surely be compensated by Allah, insha Allah

Oh that's horrendous! If I were on that plane and had heard what was going on, I would have stood up for them and put those bigoted morons in their place, then given them a hug. No one in this day and age should be subjected to this disgusting outburst of blatant racism. If that was me, they would not only be getting a formal complaint through a solicitor (lawyer) but also I would petition people to boycott the airline until they offer a full and formal apology and some sort of compensation. Also, I'd call for that stewardess to be fired.

As the niece and granddaughter of several men and women who were/are in the service, I'd call the rude passenger an asshole and I'd go stand by the woman and comfort her.

My family has been fighting for freedom since the Civil War. They've given their lives for it, and racism isn't freedom. I'd be personally insulted.

Id get mad af & might start yelling at the racist fucker. In other things id keep my mouth shut, but that is the EXACT sort of thing i lose my head over.
