It's whenever it best fits into your life. I had my first right after I turned 33 and I'll be 34 for the birth of my second. It was the perfect time for us. We've been married for more than 10 years, but we have lots of friends and had a very active social life. Having kids slows you down a lot for the first few years at least-- We had a lot of spontaneous plane trips, road trips, bar crawls, moving states a few times, and hobbies to get out of our system first. Even though I was in my 30s we got pregnant on the first try for both pregnancies. People are ready at different ages. It probably would have been a little easier in our 20's when we had a little more energy, but I wouldn't trade the adventures we had for a slightly easier time chasing around a 1 year old!  That doesn't mean everyone should have kids when we did, it just worked for us!

Well I can say I'm 35 going to be 36 soon. I dont have any kids and I have been trying for 15 years. So I really want to have kids before I was im my 30 bit that didnt happen for me.

It's highly personal, and there's really no blanket statement for everyone. Physiologically, human females seem best able to have a healthy pregnancy and child between the ages of 20 and 35. Those aren't magical lines, of course, but they're based on averages.

Are you and your partner feeling emotionally and financially able to take on that commitment? Are there any fertility concerns? Are there outside pressures to get started? How will this affect your jobs? What do your family members think about it?

If you feel ready, then go for it.

I didn't choose because it's all about when you're financially and emotionally stable for children. I know I don't want to be in my late twenties and early thirties when I have children! My cousin who is 28 had her baby not too long ago and it's her first time. She has a sister who's 27 and don't have any children,financially stable with her SO but don't plan on children for a few years. Yes it's their children but for me I feel as it's just pretty late for your first child! Mostly because I've heard that once you get into your thirties your not as fertile.
