Anal beads

I've been with my bf for 1 1/2 im moving into his place in a few weeks I was at his house today organizing and making room for my stuff and I was in the bathroom and looked inside a bag that was underneath the sink, and he had some of our sex toys in it, but I noticed that there was a new toy in it that I was not aware of.  This toy was an  anal bead.  It was open and had oil which indicated that it was used I asked him about it and why didnt he tell me about purchasing a new toy and his response was that he uses it on himself?? He said he likes to experiment and try new things. I asked him if he likes men and he said no I love woman I just like how it makes me feel.  Is this normal for guys to do this? Or am I being blind sided and he's cheating ??
