I'm a FTM and we have a 4 year old lab that is very protective of us and doesn't allow strangers(to her) near us unless she sees they are not a threat. She loves kids and other animals and has never bitten anyone. When my brother came back from deployment he had his 3 month old son with him and she guarded his crib the entire time and laid next to him and played gently. I've recently noticed while getting my daughters room set up, she will guard the bedroom door and sleep in front of her crib. She's one thing I don't want to give up as she's been amazing through the entire pregnancy and even before that. Thoughts? Thanks for taking the poll!
